Which for Windows

I've been stuck having to use the MS command prompt a lot lately because some of the tools I'm using at the moment don't work under Cygwin.

I needed to figure out which installation of an app was first in my PATH and I longed for the which command.

Ask [google] and you shall receive: which for Windows.

http://gnuwin32.sourceforge.net hosts a number of standard unix apps that have been ported to Windows and do not require Cygwin.
